Founded in 2025, DRIFT Landscape Architecture is a Portland-based design practice rooted in rhythm, resilience, and responsiveness. We are a small but growing studio dedicated to shaping landscapes that evolve with time—places that foster healing for both people and the environment while honoring the layered histories of place.

DRIFT’s approach rests on three interconnected prongs: healing landscapes that restore human well-being and ecological balance, resilient design that responds to climate change and future uncertainty, and place-making that strengthens cultural identity and community connection. These guiding principles inform every project, from intimate gardens to large civic spaces.

Our work spans a wide range of scales and project types, including therapeutic gardens, parks and public spaces, streetscapes and transit corridors, private residential environments, rooftop landscapes, and nature-based playscapes. We collaborate closely with clients and communities to reveal insights, establish shared vision, and create inclusive spaces that embrace the full story of place.

DRIFT holds professional licensure in the State of Oregon, with reciprocity available in additional states, and is currently pursuing COBID certification as an Emerging Small Business.
